About Us
LUMINOUS Fest is Canada's first Black Muslim Arts festival featuring multi-disciplinary performances, workshops, and vendors from the Black Muslim community. Our goal to amplify Black Muslim Artists and entrepreneurs and give our community space to connect, build, heal and witness our Black joy! This year our programming will begin late Spring 2021 with our Luminous Futures multi-arts workshop series for emerging artists. Our festival is based in Scarborough, Ontario.

Last year we held a re-imagined Luminous Fest due to COVID-19, called ‘Luminous Nights’. Luminous Nights is a multi-disciplinary arts series featuring Black Muslim Artists, that occurred in fall 2020. Each night in the series featured a workshop and 2 performances followed by artist talks with performers to get to know the artists and the motivation behind their work. Visit our Facebook Page for footage of our performances! Here's what our 2020 fall schedule looked like!
